Teknon Rising exists to remind children in foster and group homes that their identity is not defined by their past. Through faith-filled care, we create experiences where children feel seen, valued, loved, and cherished by God.

Teknon Rising partners with group homes to host pop-up salon and self-care experiences—a haircut, a painted nail, a smile that says, “You matter.” Compassionate volunteers create safe, uplifting spaces filled with dignity, joy, and belonging.
THE MEANING BEHIND THE NAME
Teknon
means child.
The Greek word “Teknon” (τέκνον) is used throughout Scripture to describe those who belong to God as His beloved children. Our name reflects our mission: helping children rise into the truth of their identity—created with divine purpose and immeasurable honor.
OUR STORY
Born from a promise
made by a child in foster care.
Our founder knows firsthand the struggles of growing up in the foster system. Through faith, prayer, and God’s guidance, she discovered that her pain was not wasted—it was preparation for a purpose.
